SLC Community Guidelines and Learner Agreement

Welcome to ExpandNet’s Scale-up Learning Center (SLC)!

Partners in Expanding Health Quality and Access (“Partners”) has developed and led the ExpandNet program (“the Program”), a set of activities intended to promote equitable access to high quality health and development interventions by ensuring that the benefits achieved in successful pilot, demonstration and experimental projects are expanded and institutionalized to serve more people, more quickly and more sustainably. As the organization that helps lead the wider ExpandNet Program and its Scale-up Learning Center (SLC), we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all learners and ask that you too will make such commitments. These guidelines are meant to ensure a positive experience for all SLC learners.

To participate in the SLC, you must agree to abide by the following community guidelines and terms of this learner agreement throughout your SLC engagement and, for the intellectual property-related terms, permanently.

  1. Respectful Communication: I agree to treat all fellow SLC learners, managers, and coaches with respect and courtesy. I shall not use offensive language, personal attacks, or any form of discrimination based on factors such as age, race, gender, religion, nationality, or any other characteristic.
  2. Constructive and Inclusive Engagement: I agree to: engage in discussions and SLC interactions professionally, constructively and thoughtfully, and always assume good intentions from others; share my perspective while being open to different points of view; critique ideas, not individuals, and maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere; promote an inclusive learning environment by appreciating and respecting the diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints among SLC learners; and avoid any behavior that may marginalize or exclude others.
  3. Confidentiality: I shall respect the privacy of others by refraining from sharing anyone’s personal information or interpersonal conversations without the other person’s consent. I understand SLC organizers/facilitators will respect my privacy and not share or discuss any personal information, national or local data or my assessment scores that I have shared with anyone but me. Only the SLC organizers and a restricted group of coach collaborators will be able to view my work in the SLC. I understand and agree that one or more of these individuals may reach out to me directly about my SLC participation.
  4. Integrity: I shall complete scored learning checks, reflection questions and assessments (where relevant) on my own, unless explicitly indicated otherwise (such as the Team Track). Plagiarism and cheating are strictly prohibited and may result in suspension or removal from the SLC.
  5. Reporting Concerns: If I witness or experience any behavior that violates this code of conduct, I agree to report it to the SLC organizers immediately, given Partners is committed to addressing concerns promptly and maintaining a safe learning environment for all.
  6. Communications from ExpandNet members: By registering for the SLC I am agreeing that ExpandNet members or Partners may occasionally send me scale-up-related announcements, inquiries and messages beyond SLC-related matters, using the email address I used to register for the SLC. ExpandNet will never sell my contact information to any marketing organization.
