SLC Community Guidelines and Learner Agreement

Welcome to ExpandNet’s Scale-up Learning Center (SLC)! We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all learners. By registering for and participating in the SLC, you agree to abide by the following community guidelines:

  1. Respectful Communication: Treat all fellow SLC learners, instructors, and coaches with respect and courtesy. Avoid offensive language, personal attacks, or any form of discrimination based on factors such as age, race, gender, religion, nationality, or any other characteristic.
  2. Constructive and Inclusive Engagement: Engage in discussions and interactions constructively and thoughtfully, and always assume good intentions from others. Share your perspective while being open to different points of view. Critique ideas, not individuals, and maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere. Promote an inclusive learning environment by appreciating and respecting the diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints among SLC learners. Avoid any behavior that may marginalize or exclude others.
  3. Confidentiality: Respect the privacy of others by refraining from sharing personal information or interpersonal conversations without the other person’s consent. The SLC organizers will respect your privacy and not share your personal data or assessment scores with anyone but you. Only the SLC organizers and a restricted group of coach collaborators will be able to view your work in the SLC. One of these individuals may reach out to you directly about your SLC participation at some point.
  4. Use of SLC materials: The curriculum and its content are designed to be widely used and shared. If you share the material please acknowledge the origin as SLC and the author as ExpandNet. With your agreement to give proper recognition, you are welcome to use and share SLC materials, resources, or content provided here.
  5. Integrity: Complete assignments and assessments (if relevant) on your own, unless explicitly indicated otherwise. Plagiarism and cheating are strictly prohibited and may result in suspension or removal from the SLC.
  6. Reporting Concerns: If you witness or experience any behavior that violates this code of conduct, please report it to the SLC organizers immediately. We are committed to addressing concerns promptly and maintaining a safe learning environment for all.
  7. Communications from ExpandNet: By registering for the SLC you are agreeing that ExpandNet may occasionally send you scale-up-related announcements and messages beyond SLC-related matters, using the email address you used to register for the SLC. ExpandNet will never sell your contact information to any marketing organization.

These guidelines are meant to ensure a positive experience for all SLC learners. Consequences for not upholding these guidelines may include warnings, sanctions, or removal from the SLC platform, as determined by the SLC organizers.

Thank you for your commitment to upholding these principles, which will help ensure a positive and respectful learning environment. Your active engagement and adherence to these principles contributes to the success of the SLC and the professional growth of all learners.
